'Prince'-Jan.2010 Breeding of BallyardPrince [click for details] InspectionReport [click for details]
Ballyard Prince is true to Connemara type, and is a proper pony though he has great bone, substance and depth. He has a great jump and is a sire of jumpers. Ballininruane Boy is jumping Grade A and is nearly always placed. Hr qualified for the RDS 148 6/7yo class in 2008 and the showjumping classic last year. Another pony by him who has done well is 'Ballyard Duke', who won the All Ireland Jumping On The Lunge competition at Ballinasloe last year. He has two other sons getting consistant rossettes in Working Hunter and Pony Club competions in England. His daughters seem to all be staying as broodmares as they all carry his good bone and depth. Indeed we have kept 3 or 4 of his daughters here. Unfortunately time constraints and stud duties do not allow us to show Prince, but all who see him say he would be well placed anywhere because of his nice 'pony' head, depth, width, bone and general 'power'.He is straight of limb and moves straight. He would suit a typical Connemara broodmare, who tend to be very long, because he is quite compact. Although he stands about 147cm high he looks smaller because he appears close to the ground[again because of his good depth]. Hope this, along with his pictures give you an idea what he is like. PRINCE in April 2010 aged 14 Prince is lucky enough to live out all year, but does not run with the mares. He covers mares in hand. Please make an appointment for his services or to view.
